Who we are
We are a team of change-makers who believe that every helping hand can raise a child and create a better future for them.
Level Up LA stands apart from other non-profit organizations because it is a dual-purpose charity. First and foremost, we are led by our mission to support under-resourced Los Angeles community schools by providing financial support that helps to Level UP the students’ educational experience. Secondly, Level Up LA is supported by adult volunteers who lean on their personal and specific career expertise to guide LULA members as they learn the business and leadership skills needed to run a philanthropic organization like LULA. The model ensures that mentors and student members work together to manage a nonprofit entity/business. As members gain knowledge in essential business areas, such as marketing, web design, fundraising, financials, operations, social media, event creation and more, we believe these acquired skills transfer to other facets of the member’s life and give them an edge when aspiring to future endeavors. Our team members learn what a Philanthropic Trust Model is and how it works in the non-profit world. We spend a lot of our time fundraising, but our main philosophy behind spending the money is to allow teachers, principals, and staff to decide what their school, classes, and individual students need to elevate their educational experience. We efficiently and effectively provide materials, resources, and manpower to bring to fruition their creative educational ideas.

Whether it is a reassuring conversation, financial help, education, professional training, or simply the assurance that they are not alone, we will make sure that everyone gets support that meets them where they’re at as quickly as possible.
Our Vision
Our nonprofit partners with under-resourced public schools in Los Angeles, working closely with principals and teachers to uncover their most pressing needs.
Through fundraising efforts and Level Up Funds, we empower schools to enhance their curriculum and equalize education across the system. Our goal is to impact the minds and souls of many generations working towards a common goal of equality for all. We believe every student deserves a high-quality education, regardless of their background, and we’re committed to making this a reality.
